Matt Upson on Sky's 'The Debate'
Just said " the one thing West Ham don't have at the moment is time" when referring to our start of the season. We've got 35 league games left so I reckon there's a fair bit of time.

Might be wrong but wasn't it against Wolves where he completely fucked a young James Tomkins over?

Either way he just comes across as a spineless Sky yes man cunt and its a shame that he was somehow our captain.

Him and McMahon were talking like if we don't beat Wolves we're down and that we should stop trying to play attractive football and get some points on the board. McMahon actually said that he didn't understand why we'd got Pellegrini in when we could have offered Moyes a contract and 100m to spend.

I had to laugh.

We are only 3 points down on where you would expect us to be.

I saw this. What a pair of cunts.

No mention of our improved performance v arsenal. No clue about what west ham fans want.

Upson was always a gutless wanker

The difference between the coward Upson and the other experts isthat they can command some degree of respect for their achievements whereashehas achieved precisely nothing.

Bit like Pickle really

It's just a slot filler without the quality of an Adrian Durham to get some decent wind ups and 'debate' going.

didn't like him as a player, he's a worse pundit

I find what most of them say 99% of the time is worthless. Talksport the same. Debating pointless things, hour after hour to fill the endless time. Mostly with great predictability. Most are on waffle auto-pilot a lot of teh time.

What I do like is proper analysis from a former player, when they pull a move or an incident apart and look at player's positions and what either went right or wrong.

This is the stuff that I find of genuine value to me.

the best pundit for me is Murphy, the worst is Sherwood

Worst West Ham captain in modern history.
End of debate.

Gets a lot of unjustified criticism, was our best centre back by a distance for some time.

I think the worst pundit is Wise. Spouts utter fucking drivel.

Goose, he had some good games, but Upson was a wet flannel. The relegation season summed him up as a spineless leader and the travesty was he shared a dressing room with Scott Parker who gave everything and lead by example. Think WBA away.

Mad Dog 11:55 Sat Sep 1
Re: Matt Upson on Sky's 'The Debate'
Goose. He was a coward that shunned responsibility at every chance. He would always pass the more difficult forward on to whoever he was paired with.

Re: Matt Upson on Sky's 'The Debate'
Jamie Redknapp is the worst pundit. 'He is a top, top player' mong.

Apparently, after that poor performance against Liverpool, it was because we sold Kouyate. How can you be that un-clued up about the game?

Eerie Descent 12:01 Sat Sep 1
Re: Matt Upson on Sky's 'The Debate'
Its funny that were playing Wolves at home and Upson is commenting on it, considering he gave the worst captain's performance I've ever seen from a West Ham player against Wolves at home.

One of those shocking nights you never forget.

Well if we lose another 4 or 5 games in the next 10 games it does not exactly make him Einstein does it.

How many of us are talking about the team needing some more games to gel???

Fuck me, people have short memories.

He was our best centre back for some time and a good player. Much better than the dross we currently have.

Had a couple of excellent seasons with us that got him into the England set up.... I remember him more for that than his last season shitter he had with us... he also scored 2 goals v the Krauts.... can't be too many Hammers that have bettered that ;-)
